'Alone on a Wide, Wide Sea' by: David Hunt
This is a "travel lecture" with a difference: a performance of Coleridge's 'Rime of the Ancient Mariner', together with an introductory talk about the poet and the poem. (He is, after all, one of our Lake poets!). We will certainly be travelling in imagination - and it's a stimulating voyage! David has given poetry readings around the world to great acclaim. He believes that poetry like music needs to be heard if it is to work its magic and this performance will be accompanied by musical excerpts.
Cost: £4.00
